Modern digital cameras use similar techniques to computers for storing pictures therefore all of DRS UK's expertise in data recovery can help you. Accidents happen and pictures accidentally get deleted. Recovery from SmartMedia, Compact Flash and Memory Stick is, in most cases, possible.

DRS UK are able to recover pictures and return them on CD or via Email.

PLEASE NOTE:-

When sending media to the UK from countries outside the EEC it is important that you state clearly on the package "For temporary export to allow recovery of pictures". It is also important that, if you are required to fill in customs declarations, you only give the second hand value of the media. Do not put down your perceived insurance value or media + pictures otherwise we will be charged duty which may not be reclaimable in the UK. In these cases we will charge back any duty to the sender.

As with our hard disk and tape data recovery service, we only charge if we can recover your pictures. We do, however, make an additional charge to cover return carriage and insurance for your media. This charge varies depending on country and the value of your memory module. Typically + £5.00 in the UK to + £12.00 for the USA. This cost will be confirmed prior to recovery.

The recovery service extends to damaged memory modules although in some cases, if the memory chip has been cracked, we may not be able to recover the pictures. We do have facilities to analyse the media at microscopic level and control the media at the lowest logic levels.

Please note:- It is the responsibility of the sender to insure their media whilst in transit to us. Please send registered and inform us that the media is on it's way.
